The Practice operates a variety of 10 minute appointments as recommended by the Government and Hartlepool Primary Care Trust. Your chosen site can be contacted as follows:

  • On the day appointments - available morning and afternoon. These can only be booked on the day of the appointment and are bookable from 08:30 each weekday by contacting a site of your choice.
  • Advance booking - up to six weeks in advance.
  • Emergency appointments - Urgent medical problems that cannot wait until the next day. Sick notes will not be issued during an emergency appointment.

We also offer late afternoon appointments for those patients who are in full time employment and for those who have children in full time education. Please therefore bear this in mind when arranging an appointment if these circumstances do not apply to yourself.

Appointment Availability

This Practice offers ten-minute appointments for routine matters. We aim to offer you an appointment with a Healthcare professional within 24 hours and a GP within 48 hours.

Extended Hours

The Practice offers a late surgery at Site 1 on a Wednesday evening from 18:30 - 20:00 

This system offers improved access for patients, a lower rate of missed appointments (DNA’s) and less time spent in the waiting room for emergency appointments

Please make appointments and keep them. If you cannot keep them, please let us know, a missed appointment is a wasted appointment. You can make an appointment by phoning or calling at the surgery during opening times.

If you need to speak to a doctor or would like some advice over the telephone, please contact the site of your choice and your call will be returned.

It would also be helpful if patients could indicate to the receptionist when they think their appointment will be longer than normal, especially for medication reviews, examinations etc. The receptionist will be able to make the appropriate adjustments.

Telephone Consultations

Available Doctors each day offer two telephone consultations after their morning and afternoon surgeries.


All patients are entitled to have a chaperone present for any consultation. Please request this at the time of booking or speak to your GP.
